Meet Samuel Allred, a member of the USA skeleton development team. Samuel started skeleton in 2022.

Skeleton is a Winter Olympic sport where competitors race down an ice track face down and head-first on a sled. The sport originated in Switzerland in the late 1800s and first appeared in the Winter Olympics in 1928 and 1948. It was reintroduced in 2002 in Salt Lake City.

The race to gold as an American athlete is a self funded journey. Athletes train and compete full time while also working full time, and the burnout rate is high. We need access to equipment in order to safely train and compete. We are also seeking financial resources for required housing, travel, sliding fees, and coaching.
